As a girl myself, self respect is also important to me. As it should be with any girl. I totally understand where you're coming from.
But-- I think that one has to view sex negatively in order to believe that ANY sex act is degrading. Some of us don't find any sex act degrading because sex isn't shameful, dirty or humiliating. As long as everyone has enthusiastically consented I don't see anything wrong with it-- but I do see why some people would think that it is disrespectful or not turned on by it.

I'm sorry if I hit a nerve. I was just giving my opinion. And I don't think that having less sex partners in any way gives more value to your answer--as I don't see the number of sex partners as any kind important quality about a person, nor an important part of what you are trying to say.

I DO think that many, many people attach certain values to certain sex acts and you are by no means the only one---but why? That's all I'm trying to get to here-- is for us to kind of think about WHY we attach a negative stigma to certain sex acts. The answer I'm looking for isn't "It's disprespectful" or "it's degrading" The answer I'm looking for is WHY it's supposedly disrespectful? Why is it degrading?
Because the act itself isn't what is degrading, the only thing that is degrading is people who degrade others intentionally.  Sex has nothing to do with that, only society.
