For some reason, I used to see a targeted ad for this website when I was browsing yahoo (in Ohio, no less):
http://www.lvratlanta.com/They do vaginal surgeries. A long time ago, I read their FAQs and while their answer to "What is the normal size of the labia minora?" contained something like "There is no normal size because everyone is different", it also included a not so subtle hint that you
should have surgery if things aren't symmetric and all. This kind of thing disgusts me that they put pressure on people to change what they look like because it's not "normal". Who decides what "normal" means, anyway? ALL vulvas are beautiful, whether the lips are big or small or uneven or not.
Also, their FAQ has not changed in the following respect: "What type of anesthesia is used?"
"Patients have the choice of general and epidural anesthesia. With general anesthesia most patients are not
incubated with a tube in their trachea or windpipe..."
Yes, that says incubated, like what you do to chicken eggs to make them hatch, and not intubated, which is what they describe. It has said this for well over a year. Why would ANYONE decide to have ANY surgery (much less genital surgery) performed by doctors who don't know the difference between intubation and incubation?
