The chat is unusable for me. When logging in to it, my computer whirs loudly like it is being stressed tested hard. I am unable to type anything either. The stress causes excess keyboard lag. Am I the only one with this problem? Thanks!

I haven't had any issues here, but I do have an older Win10 laptop where the CPU spikes and my Disk Usage goes to 100% when I open new browsers and other apps.  Some combination of the Windows Security and Updating software I think.  Very frustrating.  I'm thinking about doing a fresh install.

Actually I have not tried this site on Linux.  I run Ubuntu.  Anyone else have success?

Make sure you have the latest version of Flash installed!

https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/about/

There was a bad Win10 Flash update sometime in March that wreaked havoc in many different ways but not on all hardware. On my laptop Windows Defender was overloaded continuously checking Flash and Windows Update -- sounds a lot like Gatord observed. It also caused my keyboard LEDs to blink on and off! I had to uninstall the update to get my laptop working again. I turned off Windows Update until Patch Tuesday in April and the Flash Update installed at that time has been working well.

Linux and our chat is a science project, you're on your own with that.

It should be mentioned that Chrome is not fully compatible with O chat in any event, because it blocks cam and mic broadcast access on sites using http protocol, which includes O chat.

I am pretty sure the http restriction applies to Chrome/Linux as well. In any event, those wishing to discuss Linux, please start a separate topic. I'm trying to help out the folks having trouble with configurations that are known to work.
